    Get PDF
This research was conducted to measure the data storage time carried out by the DBMS on data that has been prepared with an increasing number of data, the data provided is consistent student data which will be stored with Stored Procedure and Function. This study uses the action research method which has 4 stages, starting with planning, action, observation and reflection. From the results of the experiments that have been carried out, it appears that Stored Procedure is able to outperform Function in data storage time. The data provided are 2 different types of data, each of which consists of 500, 2500, 4500 and 6500 data stages. This study also compares data storage that is differentiated by the computer between the data provider computer and the data storage computer or server, the result of which is the Stored Procedure. able to outperform Function in data storage speed

[EN] Using the concept of pre-open set, we introduce and study topological properties of pre-limit points, pre-derived sets, preinterior and pre-closure of a set, pre-interior points, pre-border, prefrontier and pre-exterior. The relations between pre-derived set (resp. pre-limit point, pre-interior (point), pre-border, pre-frontier, and preexterior) and α-derived set (resp. α-limit point, α-interior (point), α-border, α-frontier, and α-exterior) are investigatedJun, YB.; Jeong, SW.; Lee, HJ.; Lee, JW. Development of a miniature Twin Rotary Compressor

    Get PDF
In this paper, we will introduce the miniature compressor, which is designed for various applications. Twin rotary compressor structure was adopted to reduced in size and minimize vibration. The weight of the miniature rotary compressor is about 20% that of the reciprocating compressor which has equivalent cooling capacity. To minimize the noise and vibration, the muffler and the cylinder are optimized and torque control algorithm is used for the compressor controller. For a variety of applications, developed compressor is designed for both HBP and LBP condition. Considering the mass-productivity and reliability, IPM type motor is designed

    An Efficient and Secure m

Recent rapid developments in wireless and mobile IT technologies have led to their application in many real-life areas, such as disasters, home networks, mobile social networks, medical services, industry, schools, and the military. Business/work environments have become wire/wireless, integrated with wireless networks. Although the increase in the use of mobile devices that can use wireless networks increases work efficiency and provides greater convenience, wireless access to networks represents a security threat. Currently, wireless intrusion prevention systems (IPSs) are used to prevent wireless security threats. However, these are not an ideal security measure for businesses that utilize mobile devices because they do not take account of temporal-spatial and role information factors. Therefore, in this paper, an efficient and secure mobile-IPS (m-IPS) is proposed for businesses utilizing mobile devices in mobile environments for human-centric computing. The m-IPS system incorporates temporal-spatial awareness in human-centric computing with various mobile devices and checks users’ temporal spatial information, profiles, and role information to provide precise access control. And it also can extend application of m-IPS to the Internet of things (IoT), which is one of the important advanced technologies for supporting human-centric computing environment completely, for real ubiquitous field with mobile devices

The investigation of ship maneuvering with hydrodynamic effects between ships in curved narrow channel

AbstractThe hydrodynamic interaction between two large vessels can't be neglected when two large vessels are closed to each other in restricted waterways such as in a harbor or narrow channel. This paper is mainly concerned with the ship maneuvering motion based on the hydrodynamic interaction effects between two large vessels moving each other in curved narrow channel. In this research, the characteristic features of the hydrodynamic interaction forces between two large vessels are described and illustrated, and the effects of velocity ratio and the spacing between two vessels are summarized and discussed. Also, the Inchon outer harbor area through the PALMI island channel in Korea was selected, and the ship maneuvering simulation was carried out to propose an appropriate safe speed and distance between two ships, which is required to avoid sea accident in confined waters. From the inspection of this investigation, it indicates the following result. Under the condition of SP12≤0.5L, it may encounter a dangerous tendency of grounding or collision due to the combined effect of the interaction between ships and external forces. Also considering the interaction and wind effect as a parameter, an overtaken and overtaking vessel in narrow channel can navigate while keeping its own original course under the following conditions; the lateral separation between two ships is about kept at 0.6 times of ship length and 15 degrees of range in maximum rudder angle. On the other hand, two ships while overtaking in curved narrow channel such as Inchon outer harbor in Korea should be navigated under the following conditions; SP12 is about kept at 1.0 times of ship length and the wind velocity should not be stronger than 10 m/s
